Hybrid Ceramic Crown Hands-On Course with Dr. Evan Valerio
Indirect restorations are not only about creating dental crowns that look aesthetically pleasing. Every stage requires precision, from impression taking and restoration design to fitting and final cementation.
An error at any stage may affect the adaptation, comfort, and final outcome of the restoration. Dentists therefore need to understand the entire workflow, not only through theoretical learning but also through direct practice.
To help dentists develop these clinical skills, M3i Dentistry Development Centre presents the 1 Day Hands-On Course: Hybrid Ceramic Crown - From Design to Insertion, featuring drg. Evan Valerio, Sp.Pros.
The course will take place on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM WIB at M3i Dentistry Development Centre.
Learn the Complete Hybrid Ceramic Crown Workflow
Hybrid ceramic crowns offer a restorative solution that combines aesthetic requirements with an increasingly modern clinical workflow. However, the quality of the final restoration still depends heavily on the dentist's ability to perform each treatment stage accurately.
During this hybrid ceramic crown hands-on course, participants will learn the restorative workflow from impression taking to crown insertion. The course is designed to help participants understand the concepts while directly practising the relevant clinical procedures.
Through an intensive one-day learning format, participants will gain a more comprehensive understanding of how an indirect restoration is planned, designed, fabricated, and finally inserted.
Hands-On Elastomeric Impression for Indirect Restorations
The first hands-on session will cover elastomeric impression techniques for indirect restorations.
Impression taking is an essential stage in indirect restorative treatment. The resulting impression becomes the foundation for model fabrication and restoration design. Accurate margin reproduction, proper soft-tissue management, and correct impression techniques must therefore be carefully considered.
During this session, participants will practise using elastomeric impression materials to achieve results that meet the requirements of indirect restorations.
Participants will also learn the important factors that should be considered during impression taking to produce accurate results and support the following stages of crown fabrication.
Practise Hybrid Ceramic Crown Fitting and Cementation
Once a crown has been fabricated, dentists must perform a fitting procedure before proceeding with permanent cementation.
In the second hands-on session, participants will learn about hybrid ceramic crown fitting and cementation. The fitting procedure is performed to ensure that the restoration has proper adaptation before it is permanently inserted.
Several aspects, including proximal contact, marginal adaptation, occlusion, and the overall shape of the restoration, must be carefully evaluated. Skipping a thorough evaluation may result in discomfort or the need for further adjustments.
Participants will also practise a more systematic crown cementation procedure. The session will cover surface preparation, the use of supporting materials, and the correct placement of the crown.
Explore the Digital Workflow through Intraoral Scanning
In addition to conventional restorative procedures, the course will feature a demonstration of intraoral scanning for indirect restoration cases.
Intraoral scanner technology allows dentists to capture oral conditions as digital data. The collected information can then be used as the basis for designing the restoration.
During the demonstration, participants will observe how intraoral scanning is performed and how the resulting digital data is used in indirect restorative treatment planning.
This topic is increasingly relevant as digital workflows become more widely adopted to support more structured and efficient treatment procedures.
Step-by-Step Crown Design Using CAD Software
Following the intraoral scanning demonstration, participants will attend a step-by-step crown design demonstration using CAD software.
The session will show how digital scan data is processed into a crown design. Participants will observe the stages of determining the restoration shape, margin, proximal contacts, and other design adjustments before the crown enters the production stage.
Through this demonstration, dentists can gain a clearer understanding of the relationship between clinical procedures and digital processes in hybrid ceramic crown fabrication.
The learning experience therefore extends beyond crown insertion and also explains how the restoration is digitally designed before being used for the patient.
Guided by drg. Evan Valerio, Sp.Pros
The course will be led by drg. Evan Valerio, Sp.Pros, with materials focused on the clinical stages of indirect restorations and hybrid ceramic crowns.
The hands-on format allows participants to practise each procedure while receiving direct guidance. They can also learn important clinical details that may be difficult to fully understand through theoretical materials alone.
With a limited number of participants, the course is designed to provide a more focused and interactive learning experience.
Materials and Facilities Included
The registration fee for this course is IDR 700,000 per participant.
Each participant will receive materials and facilities to support the hands-on activities, including:
DCRC Cementation
P-Etchant
HF Etchant
Coffee break and lunch
The course is limited to only 25 dentists. This limited capacity allows participants to follow the hands-on sessions more comfortably and gain a more optimal learning experience.
Master the Process from Design to Insertion
Successful indirect restorations require accuracy at every stage. Impression taking, digital scanning, crown design, fitting, and cementation are all interconnected parts of the restorative workflow.
Through the 1 Day Hands-On Course: Hybrid Ceramic Crown - From Design to Insertion, dentists can study the complete process in one practical and structured programme.
For dentists who want to improve their indirect restorative skills while learning more about digital workflows, this course offers an opportunity to gain direct experience under the guidance of a prosthodontist.
Seats are limited. Register through M3i Dental official whatsapp 0878-8813-8883 and secure your place in the Hybrid Ceramic Crown Hands-On Course with drg. Evan Valerio, Sp.Pros.
