From Smile Analysis to Veneer Cementation at KPPIKG 2026

When it comes to veneers, the first thing that usually comes to mind is the final result: straighter-looking teeth, more harmonious shades, and of course, a more attractive smile.

But behind that result, there are many steps that dentists need to consider. From analyzing the patient’s smile, selecting the right materials and techniques, to carrying out the cementation process properly.

And this was exactly what was discussed in one of the hands-on sessions at KPPIKG 2026.

On Thursday, August 13, 2026, M3i Dental together with HUGE Dental took part in the session titled “Applying 10 Minutes Smile Analysis to Predictable Veneer Cementation”, held at the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC).

Rather than simply listening to a presentation, participants were invited to take a closer look at how veneer cementation can be performed in a more structured and predictable way.

Learning Directly with drg. Astrid Khatalia, Sp.Pros

This hands-on session was led by drg. Astrid Khatalia, Sp.Pros from Escalade Dental Specialist Centre.

As the title suggests, the discussion focused on how to perform a 10 Minutes Smile Analysis and apply it to achieve more predictable veneer cementation.

Why is this interesting?

Because veneer cementation is not simply about attaching a veneer to the tooth surface.

There are many small details that can ultimately determine the final outcome. Dentists need to consider the condition of the tooth, the restoration surface, the materials being used, and the bonding procedures before the restoration is finally seated.

Of course, understanding these steps in theory is quite different from practicing them directly.

That is what makes a hands-on format valuable. Participants do not only listen to explanations from the speaker, but also gain a closer understanding of the workflow and materials used throughout the procedure.

Getting to Know HUGE Dental Materials More Closely

There was another interesting aspect of this hands-on session.

Participants also received several HUGE Dental products related to veneer cementation procedures, namely HUGE TopCem DCRC, HUGE P-Etchant, and HUGE HF-Etchant.

So instead of only seeing these products through catalogs or social media, participants had the opportunity to become more familiar with them in a clinical education setting.

One of them was HUGE TopCem DCRC, which is used in restorative cementation procedures.

There were also HUGE P-Etchant and HUGE HF-Etchant, each of which plays a different role in surface preparation before bonding and cementation.

For dentists, the opportunity to try and experience these products directly can offer a very different perspective.

After all, choosing dental materials is not only about reading product specifications. Dentists also need to understand how each material behaves when incorporated into an actual clinical workflow.

Through M3i Dental as a HUGE Dental supplier in Indonesia, a wider range of HUGE Dental materials can continue to be introduced to dentists across Indonesia, including through educational activities such as this hands-on session.

More Than Just Sitting Through a Seminar

There is one thing that makes a hands-on session different from a regular seminar.

Participants do not simply come in, sit down, take notes, and leave.

There is practical experience involved.

When a technique is explained and then immediately practiced, many small but important details often become easier to understand.

From how a material is applied and the sequence of each step, to technical details that may seem simple but can still influence the final outcome of a procedure.

This is especially relevant in esthetic dentistry.

What may look simple to a patient can actually involve many clinical considerations behind the scenes.

Veneers are one example.

Behind a thin restoration that eventually blends naturally into the patient’s smile lies a process of analysis, planning, and cementation that all require careful attention.

That is why advances in dental materials should also be accompanied by continuous development of the knowledge and skills of the dentists using them.

When Dental Products Meet Education

When looking for a dental materials supplier in Indonesia, dentists naturally need access to products that suit the needs of their practice.

However, products alone are not enough.

Even high-quality materials still need to be used with the appropriate techniques and indications in order to achieve the expected results.

This is where educational activities play an important role.

Through sessions such as the hands-on program at KPPIKG 2026, products are no longer just items inside a package. Participants can see how they are used within an actual clinical procedure.

More than that, dentists also have the opportunity to keep updating their knowledge of the latest materials and techniques in dentistry.

Because dental technology continues to evolve.

New materials are introduced, techniques continue to improve, and patients’ needs are becoming increasingly diverse.

Whether we realize it or not, learning becomes a never-ending part of a dentist’s professional journey.

Three Hours, Plenty of New Knowledge to Take Home

The hands-on session took place from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Three hours may sound short.

But within that time, participants could take home much more than just products.

There were practical experiences, new insights, techniques, and a deeper understanding of dental materials that could later be explored further and adapted to the needs of each individual practice.

The main theme of KPPIKG 2026 itself was “Shaping the Future of Global Oral Health: Translating Science, Technology, and Humanity.”

A theme that feels highly relevant to the current development of dentistry.

Technology and materials will continue to evolve, but ultimately, it is still the dentist who determines how they are used to help patients.

Because technology never truly works on its own.

Knowledge, experience, and the hands of the clinician will always remain essential.

See You at the Next M3i Dental Event

M3i Dental’s participation in the KPPIKG 2026 hands-on session became another opportunity to bring together products, education, and dental professionals in one place.

As a HUGE Dental supplier in Indonesia and a dental materials supplier in Indonesia, M3i Dental continues to provide a wide range of dental products while supporting educational activities that allow dentists to experience and understand dental materials more closely.

Because sometimes, the best way to understand a product is not simply by reading its catalog.

It is by holding it, trying it, and seeing firsthand how the material is actually used.

So, for dentists who were not able to join this hands-on session, what dental topic would you like to learn more about at the next M3i Dental event?
